MyBaby is a free, online resource that sends positive, engaging, evidence-based video messages, by text or email, to individuals who subscribe.
MyBaby is a project of Red River College Polytechnic.
MyBaby draws on the work of RRC Polytech’s Science of Early Child Development (SECD) resources, which are used around the world for post-secondary education and professional development.
RRC Polytech campuses are located on the original lands of Anishinaabe, Ininiwak, Anishininew, Dakota, and Dené, and the National Homeland of the Red River Métis..

Service providers: the MyBaby messages are a tool you can use, as you work with parents and support their positive parenting practices, which lay the foundation for their children’s overall development and well-being. Go to the Service Providers page to learn more.
Parents and expectant parents: the more you know about healthy early development, the better able you will be to nurture, protect, and support your children. The MyBaby video messages that demonstrate and encourage positive parenting practices are a powerful way to support you and validate all the wonderful things you are already doing with your child.
MyBaby is now open to parent subscribers and others interested in early child development.
MyBaby Project
History and Team
MyBaby was developed through a partnership between the College and the Province of Manitoba (Healthy Child Manitoba) as a submission to the Manitoba Open Innovation Challenge (MOIC) – a 2018 competition that solicited innovative ideas to improve early childhood literacy and numeracy in Manitoba.
MyBaby was one of three MOIC finalists chosen to receive funding to run a pilot project. Young expectant and new parents helped shape the format of the video messages and several of the parents and their babies were videotaped to provide message content. Based on the success and lessons of the pilot, the MyBaby website is undergoing expansion and enhancement.
The MyBaby team is comprised of College faculty who work with the project advisory committee of subject matter experts and representatives from several provincial departments and programs that provide service to parents from the prenatal period through the early years.
MyBaby has received funding from the Province of Manitoba and is grateful for this support.
Subscribing to MyBaby
MyBaby messages are for anyone interested in getting children off to a healthy start. The first phase of promotion will target service providers across Manitoba to have them preview the messages and provide input on encouraging parents to subscribe and benefit from the MyBaby service.
If we get it right in the early years by setting a solid foundation, lifelong improvements will follow.
